HOT! HOT! HOT!

Ryan and I have been talking a lot about how much we wish we had a pool.  Maybe some day it will happen for us.  In the meantime we swim at Grammie and Grandpa's pool.

The boys took a tumbling class.  It was 4 short weeks, but they loved going.  Mostly because of the tumbling but partly because the rec center had an awesome playground and a tree they loved to climb.

Uncle Stephen took them on a hike one saturday morning.  They had soooo much fun walking the trail and splashing in the creek.  Uncle Stephen is one brave dude and a super fun uncle.

Donuts at church on Sunday morning are so tasty.  The boys stand in line with their money and can hardly wait to pick out the chocolate glaze (especially on the mornings their mom dresses them in a WHITE shirt!)

My Aunt and Uncle and Cousins stopped by on their way home from a vacation trip.  My boys LOVE Morgan and Chandler.

The fourth of July was spent with family, but we missed Ryan who had to work the holiday this year.

Dad's Tenting trip and VBS

Right after we got back from our beach trip, Ryan packed up the tenting stuff and took the kids to Hume lake.  There were several dads going with their kids. (no moms allowed)

Poor Ryan was exhausted before they even left and then he had to set up camp and keep track of 4 kids and feed them and keep them alive. He was beat.

Ryan is a great dad! He said he had so much fun with the kiddos and he even took a bunch of pictures because he knew his wife would love that. :)  The kids came home filthy dirty and super exhausted.  Some great memories were made with their dad.  And I enjoyed a quiet weekend at home.  Spend the night with friends and had some good girl time.

This summer we also got a trip in to the water park

We got in a trip to the movies with Jacob's school friend Ava

The last week of June we went to Maker Fun Factory VBS.

I was one of the photographers along with my friend Julie.  We had so much fun going around and capturing all the happy kiddos faces.

Every kid gets called up on stage at some point during the week to do hand motions during praise time.  The boys were so excited excited to go up.  And then when they did get called up there. They just froze and didn't do any hand motions.  It was hilarious.  They were excited to be up there, you just couldn't tell.

The boys had so much fun with friends.  And Jacob and Cruz enjoyed the preschool classes.

I hope it works out for me to be photographer again next year.  It was such a fun week and we still listen to VBS songs every day.

Beachin'

Summer started and we hit the ground running and haven't really stopped since!!

We got in two weeks of swim lessons.  Jacob improved so much this year!

Every summer we get a Pismo/Avila trip in.  This year we stayed at the Pismo Coast RV Village in our trailer.  A big money saver compared to hotel-ing it!

We spent one day at Pismo Beach.  There were a million sand crabs and clams!  The boys even found a couple alive sand dollars.  It was beautiful weather.  The water was freezing.

We tried to teach them how to use the boogie board.

Jacob collected hundreds of crabs and shells in this green bucket.

Cruz tried to help find some crabs too.

Can't be at the beach without getting buried in the sand!

We escaped a horrible heat wave back home.  It was over 100 degrees everyday we were gone.  And this guy, had the audacity to complain of being cold at the beach! I'd rather be cold at the beach than burning up back home!!

As the day went on the boys got more and more comfortable with the waves and the water.  Brave little guys were going in pretty deep!

My 4 beach dudes:

At the RV campground there was a heated pool.  So even after a long day at the beach the boys swam. They rode bikes in the dark with glow sticks around their necks.  We went on a walk over to the sand dunes by the pool.  We, of course, got ice cream in Pismo and roasted marshmallows by the fire.

We did a second beach day at Avila beach.  The water was warmer but there weren't any sand crabs and the shore was full of rocks and some seaweed.  The kids swam in the water more because it wasn't as cold as Pismo Beach the day before.

Every time we are in the area we go feed the animals at Avila Barn

and we go on the hay ride

This year Vincent spotted a snake.  They followed that thing around everywhere.  It was making me nervous.  I was afraid the snake would get annoyed and snap at them.

I love my crazy crew.  We had a great trip to the coast!
