One Year!

(I'm posting this about a month late....sorry)

This was the fastest year of my life!  It seems like yesterday these little guys were running around in their diapers and I was trying to survive the summer heat being 9 months pregnant with twin 17 mo. olds.
Look at these babies!!

And then they got to meet their baby brother.

and we all fell in love with him!

Time as flown by ever since.

Jacobs stats at the 1 year mark:
weight: 24 lbs 14 oz (91st percentile)
height: 32.75 inches (off the chart  >100%)
head circumference: 19.25 inches (off the chart >100%)    (he has a big head....he is a Holguin!)

He has his two "fang" teeth on top. (incisors if you want the correct term) and his two middle bottom teeth.  His top two middle teeth are just popping through the surface.

Jacob thinks he is 1 going on 5.  He tries to keep up with his older brothers and pretty much thinks he can or should be able to do anything they do. He is full on walking and getting pretty fast at it.  And boy can he can climb. I have found him on top of the kitchen table several times!

Jacob has started to babble.  He goes on and on with his little finger pointing at something.  I just know he is trying to say something or tell me a story!  He CAN say some words.  His short list right now is: "momma, night night, bye, done, snack, boo"

Jacob's favorite movie is "Baby Signing Time" He gets sooooo excited when I put it on. He knows how to sign the words done/finished, please, more and baby.  We are working on thank you and cracker.  Now that we are trying to teach Jacob his sign language, Vincent and Landen have started signing again and they try and teach him. It is so cute to watch.

He loves to give random kisses.  He is ALL smiles in the morning when its time to wake up. Oh and the kid can eat!!! He often eats more than Landen!

Jacob is transitioning from one nap to two. Most days he will still take two 2-hour naps but some days he will stay up all morning and go down in the afternoon with the boys and take a nice 3.5 hour nap.  Jacob usually wakes up around 7 am and he is in bed and asleep by 8 pm.

Life is busy with 3 under 3 but let me tell you....it is not NEAR as busy as it was with 3 under 2! I re-read that schedule I had posted a year ago and man.....how did I survive?! HA! Vincent and Landen are getting easier in some ways. And so is Jacob.  We packed away the bottles when he was 11 months old so no more washing bottles or buying formula. That has been NICE!  Now that he's walking he can take himself wherever he needs to go so we don't have to carry him as much and that is NICE!  Now....if we can just get him potty trained! haha. I kid.

The boys play great together but they also fight as any brothers do.  I know I will be dealing with the screams and tug-of-wars for a long time....might as well learn to deal.

These boys make us laugh on the daily. And I wouldn't trade it for anything.

How cute are they??

I am looking forward to seeing what the next year brings....at each stage I think "it doesn't get any better than this" and then it does!!

I love these three boys soooooo much! They are our true pride and joy
